The paper presents a critical report of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) scenario in India. The paper highlights the significance of effective implementation of OSH standard in India in the context of growing informal economy that 90% of the countries work force depends and the poor implementation of existing legislature. The paper concludes with the challenges faced in the implementation and the recommendation for the effective implementation.
