Using secondary data and qualitative interviews, this study propose a conceptual model for studying the association between the stigmatization and mental health among the rural to urban migrants in China. The model hypothysis that the stigma experienced by the migrant exacerbate the social isolation with migrant that further pose psychological barrier for the migrant to enter into the social network which intensify the loneliness and isolation. This lead to the poor psychological adjustments and mental health problems among the migrants.
