Under the “Closing the gap” initiative, we have collaborated with three different research teams across the country and our objective is to, “initiate research on a key priority area, namely health equity and tribal health“. These are our collaborators:
1. Public Health Resource Society (PHRS), Chhattisgarh; Prinicipal Investigator – Dr.Sulakshana Nandi
Title of the project: – “Exploring health inequities amongst particularly vulnerable Tribal groups: Case studies of Baiga and Sabar in Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand States of India.”
2. Health Action by People (HAP), Kerala; Principal Investigator – Dr. K. Vijaya Kumar, Co-Principal Investiagtor – Dr. AK Jayasree
Title of the project – Exploring health inequity by assessing the nature of healthcare utilization and its correlates among the tribal population of Kerala.
3. The Action Northeast Trust (The ANT), Assam; Prinicipal Investigator – Jennifer Liang
Title of the project – Health inequities in a conflict area- an in depth qualitative study in Assam.
