This study assesses the impact of community-based HIV stigma reduction intervention on the stigma experiences of PLWH (People Living with HIV) and stigmatisation behaviour of people living close to them (PLC) in an urban and rural setting in the North-West in South Africa. The findings indicate though there was no significant differences between urban and rural settings, there was significant changes in the HIV stigma experiences of PLWH as well as the HIV stigmatisation behaviour of PLC after the intervention.
